IPod Patent goes to Microsoft!!!

I just cannot believe this.. how does Microsoft survive like this..scavenging on others inventions.. I have heard that microsoft is an epitome example of American supermacy and race for power.
Yeah, IPod has not become to owned by microsoft..just the music library listing has been patented.. but even then..it is def Apple's share to own this patent..and Microsoft uses all its political n economic power to win this patent...just sounds soo wrong..
